Who is eligible for an Our People Award?
Everyone! Any member of staff can nominate a colleague or a team for living our people promise or for their commitment to integrated care. You can also nominate a colleague or team from a partner organisation for our People Partner Award.
The public can nominate any member of staff or team for our People’s Choice Award. Nominations for Our People’s Choice Award are not accepted from staff.
How do I nominate a colleague or team?
Our People Awards are aligned to our people promise and our commitment to integrated working. Identify the award that best represents the individual or team you want to recognise, complete the form and submit. It’s that simple.
How do I nominate a colleague or team from a partner organisation?
Nominate them for Our People Partner Award, complete the form and submit. Our People Partner award is an annual award and nominations are open from January to September, with winners announced in December.
When will I know if my nomination has been successful?
Our six awards based on our promise and our Chair’s Special Award will be awarded each April, July and October. Shortlisted nominees will be announced in ICO News, ICON, our website and on social media. Winners will be announced at Trust Talk and the news shared through our internal and external channels.
Every May we will bring the winners and any highly commended teams or individuals together for an annual celebration event.
Shortlisted nominees for Our People Partner Award will be announced in October and the winner will be announced at the annual celebration event.
Shortlisted nominees for Our People’s Choice Award will be announced in October and a public vote for the winner will take place in November. The winner will be announced at the annual celebration event in December.
How will winners be selected?
Each award has a judging panel made up of people from across our services and also includes our Governors and representatives from our staff networks. The public will choose the winner of Our People’s Choice Award.
Our people celebration event
Every year, we hold a celebration evening for the people who have won an Our People Award during the previous year as well as the winners of other award and recognition schemes in our organisation.
