Due to the construction of the new theatres building beside the heart and lung unit and to ensure a safe pedestrian route around the construction site, the layout of car park A will change.
From the evening of Tuesday 01 August, some disabled car parking spaces in car park A will be shut. This will enable a new safe pedestrian route to be laid once hoarding for the construction site is erected.
We have created new additional disabled car parking spaces in car park B.
From Wednesday 02 August, car park D will have both staff permit parking spaces and patient/visitor parking spaces. Staff will be guided to park on the left, patients/visitors will be guided to park on the right.
Additional traffic officers will be available to support staff and patients/visitors with any issues and new signage will be in place.
We are encouraging visitors to review the visiting times of our wards and where possible visit later in the day when our car parks are quieter. We are also working hard to explore alternative routes into the heart and lung unit, and we are committed to finding a solution as soon as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience this is causing.
